Christian Anderson interviewed by Oya Emerging filmmakers on the set of Reel Black our film stories

Reel Black: Our Film stories was selected as the best Short Documentary at the annual Caribbean Tales Film Festival in toronto! This film was a project created by our OYA Emerging Filmmakers Program Alumni’s Ayan Tani, Emeraude Domingos-Mbuku, Tristen Sutherland.

In an exploration of Black Canadian filmmaking, emerging filmmakers Christian Anderson and Ajahnis Charley quickly discover the realities of the industry. Through insights from veteran filmmakers such as Claire Prieto-Fuller, the young filmmakers learn that sometimes if you aren’t given a seat atthe table, you have to make your own.
