Confessions is about 22-year-old Sophia and her journey towards self-healing and self-love after she breaks her celibacy through an act of sexual coercion by her long-time boyfriend, Chase. Due to their long-standing relationship, Chase does not believe that what happened between himself and Sophia crossed boundaries. Instead of confronting Chase, Sophia decides to seek reconciliation with herself by going to the place that has been a literal and metaphorical sanctuary; her church. In a desperate attempt to find peace of mind with what transpired, Sophia turns to her priest for guidance and forgiveness. However, the reconciliation she hoped for does not come from the church, man or the boy she loved.
