Krystle Ferdinand

Krystle Ferdinand is a Canadian Actress and award-winning Producer and Writer based in Toronto, Canada. She co-founded Gravitate Productions in 2020 to house the development of independent feature films and original scripted content that highlight Black and underrepresented voices. As a graduate from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce, she has leveraged her business acumen as a Producer on three short films that have screened at festivals worldwide. 

Her most recent short film He Comes at Night had its world premiere at the Oscar and Canadian Screen award qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival (2021). Also, her award-winning short film Engaged to be Engaged, which she wrote, produced and starred in, had its world premiere at Canadian Film Fest in 2019 and won Best Short at Short and Sweet Film Festival (2021) where Krystle was also nominated for Best Actress. She has acted in The Handmaid’s Tale, Private Eyes and Disney Plus’s Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Krystle is also an Assistant Director in the DGC, working on productions like Guillermo del Toro’s Nightmare Alley (2021), IT Chapter Two (2019) and Shazam! (2019).

Krystle is currently developing her first psychological thriller feature film The Yellow Queen.
